Amalfi Coast Italy Guide

Amalfi Coast Italy Guide

Welcome to the central point of the Amalfi Coast, with lots to explore I'm going to give you my breakdown of top things to do while visiting.
Amalfi is the central port where you can jump on a ferry to go to Capri or push your way onto a bus to travel the coastal drive to Positano.
With a buzz to the town during the day, the village is filled with tourists eating gelato, shopping for souvenirs and taking pictures. The best time to see it is at night, with the glistening sea and twinkly lights, this town is transformed into a charming cobbled street, perfect for strolling with an ice cream while shopping.
Where to eat in Amalfi ?
Gelato is one of my top reasons I visit Italy each year. It makes you wonder why we even have 99 Mr Whippy ice cream in the UK, as nothing can compare to Italian ice cream. Each night my family and I travel down from Ravello to Amalfi to grab an ice cream in our favourite Gelateria. For generations my family have visited the shop, with rich flavours all hand made. This ice cream will make you want to have it for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

My top 5 places to eat in Amalfi

Pasticceria Savoia- My favourite ice cream shop

Restaurant Marina Grande - with an amazing dinner view looking out onto the sea.

Sensi Restaurant - Fine dining seafood restaurant

L"Abside - Is a family run restaurant, just off the main Amalfi square, traditional food that everyone will love.

Taverna Buonvicion - A lovely cobbled courtyard restaurant perfect for a romanic candlelit meal.
