Taking inspiration from Vincent Van Gogh’s ‘The Starry Night’, this design features abstract stars and mark making, providing a sense of shooting stars through the night sky. The gold and silver needlework represents a star’s shiny quality evoking feelings of protection and guidance.
The Starry Night design has a little under thirty-two thousand stitches in its design and takes a little over one and a half hours to embroider. Once the embroidery is complete, beads are carefully hand sewn onto areas of the design, which gives the impression of the stars glistening in the night’s sky as the jacket moves.
